I am an amateur singer/songwriter, which means I have a day job. I am 57 years old. I started with music as a youngster playing clarinet, then tenor sax, then guitar. As a teen I played in several weekend dance bands. A more complete bio can be found at my MacJams web site.

I wrote and recorded the demo melody and music for "Lighten Up Now" in the summer of 2008. I sent it off to Richard (with whom I have been collaborating for 5 years now) and asked him to write some light hearted lyrics. Well, he did. We added more fun with kazoos and other noisemakers to make it a real musical fantasy ride.

1. Some Favorite Childhood Music

I loved (and still do) the music from the Walt Disney movies. As I grew into a teen I liked the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and Motown music.

2. Favorite Childhood Games

In the summer I enjoyed playing hide and seek in the evenings, sand-lot baseball during the summers, playing catch with my brothers. Monopoly and Risk were fun board games to play.

3. Favorite School Subjects

Music and History were (and still are) my favorite subjects.

4. Some Favorite Places from Youth

The nearby woods and creek in our neighborhood. Valley Forge. Ocean City, MD.

5. Childhood Heroes

My heroes were mainly sports figures like Mickey Mantle and Willie Mays. Oh yeah... Superman!

6. Dream Super Powers

Hmm, I never thought about that. Flying would be nice.
